How To Create A Social Media Kick-off
The secret formula for getting seen online is putting together a Social Media Kick-Off for your company, product or service, or your client’s company.
There are 5 major areas that must be addressed to get your Social Media Kick-Off going. Those areas are Blog Marketing, Article Marketing, Web Directory Linking, Paid Directory linking and Targeted Redirected Traffic.
Blog marketing describes internet marketing by the use of blogging technologies. Marketing blogs differ from corporate/business websites as they feature up-to daily posts, often on a single topic or small group of related topics. Article Rewrite, Rewriter and Spinner
An Article Rewrite, an article rewriter and an Article Spinner are all tools that help with SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Articles are awesome tools/resources that help with your site’s authority rank! But, WOW, as you can see, there is a little bit to know concerning them as distinguished in the terminology below.
Article Rewrite
An article rewrite is a way for bloggers to take previous information that they wrote and improve it, or
improvise it. Improving an article an artcle comes in many forms, but often an improved article features better
sources, updated information and/or an improved opinion from the author his or herself.
An improvised article is an article that is a revised form from the original article form. That is, an article
which was originally written for one audience, say bookkeepers, could be modified to account for insurance agents or
massage therapists.
Alternatively, an article rewrite could be an article that is originally intended as correspondence, but later
revised to a form suitable for publishing.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/rewrite
Article Rewriter,
An article rewriter is usually a program that helps “spit-out” articles by simply pasting your article into an edit box, hitting a submit button the program reformats the article for your use. The advantage is that when used, your article appears fresh to the search engines. The disadvantage is that search engines are getting more sophisticated and have started to band these efforts.
http://www.ezrewrite.com/ and http://www.articlechanger.net/ are a couple of examples
Article Spinner,
An article spinner is a more sophisticated version of the article rewrite. Article spinners usually come in two types
Type 1 uses a thesarus or algorithm to randomly replace words and sentences.
These random junk article spinners generate just that, random junk. So the user of the software would get better
article variation, but unfortunately would need to scan and edit the article.
Type 2, the new generation of article spinners, take as input multiple versions of your sentences, phrases,
and paragraphs and randomly pick one version of each. This method of article spinning generates hundreds
of article versions that are 30-60% unique and are still completely human readable and grammatically correct.
Although, as I have found this type of softward still needs to be skimmed as sometimes, for example, a you and your
could be missed, etc.

Learn to write for rankings, then you will achieve your SEO goals!
Article writing helps some businesses achieve their online goals within weeks!
I have been a small business web developer for about 10 years and I feel that I have done as much for on page optimization as I can possibly stomach. After using what seems to be every trick in the book, I felt there must be more to achieving organic rankings than programming alone. I have taken a few classes online and have purchased a few books, but now I have found that “Golden Ticket.”
So before you give up think about what your website represents to you, your users and a potential market – that includes everyone that boots up a computer and gets online. Once you start to identify what their needs are then you can begin to start sending these often insatiable informationiacs to you. And what these potentials need are, you guessed it, information. Information for what, well that’s what you provided once you defined their need.
In one of my classes, the instructors promoted the idea of social media to attract, engage and maintain an audience. One of the best ways to attract this audience is with using article marketing using social media such as blogs as you conduit. Well blogs can be quick provide content and can be easily accessible to you and your audience, but do these articles provide another element, quality? Really, it is the quality that distinquishes a post from an article. So what is article marketing, exactly???
Article marketing is the process of writing and submitting original content to article directories such as blog. Submitting articles is not a new concept. Marketers have been publishing articles to attract an audience for years mainly utilizing in newsletters, magazines, publications and more recently infomercials to gain exposure for their businesses.
BIG IDEA – with the Internet today – do more than write articles, edit articles for others and post them on your website, invited guess columnists to your blog, revise your postings over time and invite comments and interaction concerning are articles.
Traditionally, the process of article marketing starts by submitting an article to an editor. If the content is suitable, the editor publishes the article, and the marketer gets some exposure. The process is then repeated with as many publications as possible. Playing the numbers - In theory, if each publication brings just one customer, then a hundred publications may bring a hundred customers. Replication of article and content through multiple sources has historically delivered the desired results. In today’s terms, your publications are directories!
A WORD OF CAUTION - most directories don’t allow you to include links in your article body. So keep them to your author signature.
You as the article writer/publisher can reap astonishing results, by using blogs and directories. Once a directory publishes an article, the website directory will experience an immediate surge in traffic. This traffic comes from the subscribed readers. Of course these subscribers come from what else, content! After that, traffic settles down a little. Once your article becomes indexed within the search engines you will receive a constant stream of traffic from the indexed articles.
There is a hidden advantage of directories over blogs. The links in the articles that you write and that are accepted by a directory will give you a search rankings boost for your website. Why??? When someone writes and submits a published article it carries at least two links, pointing back to the author website. This means unlike a blog, the author website gets high quality back links from well established authority sites whenever an article is approved for publication.
From just posting to writing for rankings - how to prepare your articles for directory submission.
Writing articles can take up a lot of time, but submitting articles can also take up a lot of time. So in my next post I will follow-up with some areas that you would want to be sure to include when seeking the highest rate of approval from editors.

Conversion Rates: Using Polls, Landing Pages and Autoresponders
Many small business owners struggle with increasing their conversion rates. It isn’t enough to generate meaningful traffic! You must cause some type of user response, whether it be a sale, a newsletter sign-up or content submission for a portal. If your clients are viewing your website, but not responding too, or engaging your content, your site might as well be in a page of a book. After all, if you are a business, a well developed marketing plan, one in which generates traffic doesn’t convert to money if there isn’t a conversion (or convert).
Generate targeted traffic.
Generating targeted traffic is an important strategy for enhancing on site conversion. This strategy begins even before you make changes to your website or webpage. Attracting the right users to your website is paramount for increasing conversions at a lower cost. On of the first ways to do this is to begin by evaluating your lead sources and determine the alignment of your prospects with your product. That is, create a profile of what your current clients look like and speak to them through the web.
One way to accumulate this information is with a survey or poll. WordPress has a sister company called Poll Daddy. Poll Daddy allows you to gage your potential clients. Often times, reducing or retargeting spend to the segments that perform the best can have a very positive impact on ROI.
You can also determine what traffic is best aligned with your market by carefully analyzing your Google Adwords campaigns. With the proper conversion tracking in place, it's easy to determine which keywords are generating sales, versus clicks alone. Focus on expanding your top converting keywords and driving truly interested prospects to your landing page.
Improving landing page performance
After you've begun to attract the right users, your need becomes to focus in on converting them. The fastest way to improve conversion rates are through testing various landing pages. A landing page is a specialized page sometimes known as a lead capture page. Landing pages appear when a potential customer clicks on an advertisement or a search-engine result link. The page will usually display content that is a logical extension of the advertisement or link, and that is optimized to feature specific keywords or phrases for indexing by search engines.
These landing pages can be manipulated from subtle as word changes to image changes to graphics implementation. You may want to rotate the landing pages, testing multiple pages within a fixed amount of time, and then you can learn quickly what page has the highest conversion rate.
Another method for improving on-site conversions is with the help of an auto-responder type of program. We recommend – BIG HINT- AWEBER With an auto-responder provide an opportunity to reconnect your business with your budding audience. Using an auto-responder also allows you or your staff a little more flexibility in scripted responses.
According to AWEBER new or potential subscribers/users require special attention. They become your best prospects. Some benefits of using an autoresponder are:
• Welcome new subscribers, and then drive them back to your website with an unlimited number of follow up messages.
• Answer questions, deliver downloads and provide product information.
• Track website clicks using your own domain name, without ugly click tracking links.
• See who clicks your links, which opens your messages, and more.
• Build subscriber trust and confidence.
• Best of ALL! No manual sending necessary - messages are delivered automatically.
Using the techniques of better targeting, improving landing page conversion rates, and auto-responders can significantly enhance the performance of your online marketing campaigns. Plan your programs carefully and measure performance along the way, making appropriate enhancements. Over time, your results become automatic.

BEING FOUND? 8 AREAS TO HELP YOUR COMPANY MAKE AN ONLINE STATEMENT
Websites today must load quick, look appealing to the user, contain relevant content, but most importantly be found and attract your users’ attention! There are more, but here are 8 areas that seem to be discussed most often in relation to being found.
CONTENT
What makes your site tick more than anything is good, ever changing content! Content is what drives your website traffic and creates food for hungry content starved spiders and bots. Content binds your well-researched, information and helps your website achieve page ranking and authoritative status. NOTE: With a very academically inclined staff it is no wonder Google loves content. Content coupled with keywords, proper on page design will attract your desirous inbound links.
LINKS
Another royalty you can’t do without are Links! Focus on building a network of the best quality backlinks for your website using your top keyword phrase(s) and your website name. Only link with sites that can offer you something substantial to chew up on. If it’s not good, don’t bite the bait! Also, don’t over link, you will get penalized by over linking too. The search engines are getting pretty at detecting too much linking as link bloat.
PAGE RANK
Page ranking, despite what many SEO experts say, are just a small part of your SEO plan, but really page ranking is all in the quality of the link. The ranking algorithm for page ranking is complicated, but the rule of thumb in regards to popularity is that the greater the traffic your off-site link gets the higher your site will rank in the algorithm. BIG VISUAL – for us visual types here is a great link that represents page rank in relation to links, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PageRanks-Example.svg
FREQUENCY OF CONTENT CHANGES
Stay current by updating regularly. If you want to climb higher on search rankings, make sure your site has fresh and useful content. Using blogging software is a great way to regularly update your website’s content and one of is the best ways to catch the eye of the search engine robot. I recommend both off-site and on site installs for your blogging strategy.
LONG-TAILED KEYWORDS
Look for top search phrases instead of single keywords when strategizing about ranking higher in search engines. The search phrases used by people and incorporated in your content (that is, title tag, meta tags, h1 tags, etc.) will make it easier for your website to show up as a relevant search result.
LOCALIZED CONTENT
Getting localized is a very important SEO strategy. When developing the content for your site, make sure you keep ‘localization’ in mind. This helps you win users who may utilize a long-tailed search string such as wedding vendors in San Diego, or coffee shops in Phoenix. The Internet may be world-wide, but my goal is to find a local photographer to meet with at a local coffee shop! SO, we recommend creating state, city even neighborhood specific pages to attract website traffic to your website.
ON PAGE CODING
In addition to using relevant title tags, meta tags, h1, h2 attributes and content, we recommend using text links on your website pages if using Java script for image maps, image links, or drop down menu. Spiders don’t follow Java script properly and text links are crucial from a SEO point of view. If your navigation links are images and use the a href attribute, place text links somewhere on your pages as well. One final little secret, use an on page link back, don’t know what that is email me!
BEING FOUND OR LOOKING GOOD
Always keep SEO in mind when designing your website. That is, your website designer must be an expert at Organic SEO implementation. They should design a website that doesn’t rely heavily on Flash. Less graphics will give you better crawl-ability, faster page load times that will help to satisfy impatient users and gain you trust from the search engines. This is because search engine robots crawl your text rather than images or Flash.

BLOG MARKETING!

HELP YOUR COMPANY MAKE AN ONLINE STATEMENT
BEING FOUND? 8 AREAS THAT WILL HELP YOUR COMPANY MAKE AN ONLINE STATEMENT
LINKS
Another royalty you can't do without are Links! Focus on building a network of the best quality backlinks for your website using your top keyword phrase(s) and your website name. Only link with sites that can offer you something substantial to chew up on. If it's not good, don't bite the bait!
BIG VISUAL – for us visual types here is a great link that represents page rank in relation to links, example
FREQUENCY OF CONTENT CHANGES
Stay current by updating regularly. If you want to climb higher on search rankings, make sure your site has fresh and useful content. Using blogging software is a great way to regularly update your website's content and one of is the best ways to catch the eye of the search engine robot.
When developing the content for your site, make sure you keep 'localization' in mind.
Spiders don't follow Java script properly and text links are crucial from a SEO point of view.
They should design a website that doesn't rely heavily on Flash. Less graphics will give you better crawl-ability, faster page load times that will help to satisfy impatient users and gain you trust from the search engines. This is because search engine robots crawl your text rather than images or Flash.

SEO On-Page Web Design And Search Engines
Search Engine Optimization and web design are tricky little concepts which emphasize navigation with architectural design principles, flat-file content and body tags with how the search engines determine relevance and importance of your site information. The design should be able to express the information that the user is seeking and at the same time be easily navigable for both the search engine and the user. That is, because SEO web design should also be able to satisfy robotic crawlers and spiders in their quest for information regarding the website and other data.
SEO Web Design and Site Optimization On Page Website Design for Search engine optimization is a necessity for businesses. It is used and applied by almost all sites on the internet that aim to make money, grab attention and reach online popularity. Among the many strategies of optimizing a web site, SEO web design is one of the topmost priorities. The impact of the design of the site on search engine robotic crawlers or spiders can help raise the ranking of the site. This is where SEO web design comes in. There are many ways to make the web site more attractive to robotic visitors and human visitors alike.
Actually, spiders and crawlers from search engines do not care about the overall aesthetic value (the graphic design) of the site. All these robotic crawlers look for is the information it can extract from the site. The tricky part is how to create information that is attractive to search engine so that the crawlers can properly index the site and gauge the sites relevance. SEO companies who specialize in optimizing web sites must also know how to put a site in front of others in order to bring it to the attention of the Internet users. REMEMBER THIS – What all sites must do is attract attention; from there you can worry about making sales, or promoting content, etc.
The search optimizers who will handle your site must be able to know the right strategies to place the web site ahead of others in its field through accepted methods of optimization. The most notable methods of on page web design are: Long tailed keywords Keeping content fresh Customized title tags Per page meta tag descriptions XML site map navigation Anchor text Tagline heading usage Linking to social websites such as Facebook, WordPress, Blogspot and Twitter. SEO web design is a competitive area where web designers, work hard to come up with ideas and designs that are aesthetically appealing and utilize relevant content at the same time. There has to be consideration for ease of getting around the website, being appealing to a wide range of visitors and finding the right place for the website. Making a basic, visually appealing site is easy with the many technological advances available today, but the problem with these advances is that they are composed of database constructs that get in the way of the search spiders. Thus making the indexing of your relevant content difficult to navigate and index.
SEO web design should be easy to use and friendly to both human and robotic browsers. Easy navigational access can be done by making the pages of the site easy to navigate to and having easy to understand and use button or labels to click on. The pictures and images on your SEO web design should be just the right size (no more than 50K each) and scale (current screen resolutions should not exceed 1024x768) enable users to see them promptly after clicking instead of taking a very long time to download. Waiting for images and other graphics to load can be off-putting for most visitors and will eventually lead them to another site which is more optimized and easy to view. Even spiders and crawlers will give up on a site which is not easy to navigate and get into. BIG POINT - Make sure any on page scripting is located at the bottom of your page, better yet, to avoid page bloat, take them off page and put them into an include file.
The overall appeal of the SEO web design should not only be focused mainly on the niche that it is targeted to but also for Internet users who might have stumbled onto the site. Some webmasters or website owners could opt for specialized SEO web designs such as squeeze pages and these can also be done with the targeted audience in mind. Squeeze pages are specific web designs that seek information such as a name and email by usually providing an enticement. If you are marketing a specific product or information, SEO experts can focus on this product or information and build the SEO web design around it and link to Mother sites. Mother sites, for example are Corporate sites, and/or portal sites.

Why Social Media Fits Into The SEO Equation! What!?!
Why Social Media Fits Into The SEO Equation!
With all the talk about social media I wanted to talk about why Social Media Outlets are so valuable to the SEO Equation. What is the SEO equation? The hidden formula that has been developed, and is ever changing, you know, or now you know, the one that gets your website organically ranked!
Todd Malicoat a noted Internet Expert states that “Social media is an integral portion of a successful SEO campaign in the current landscape.” His reasoning is that social media helps with the user in their creation of a global linking campaign. Together a collection of links with articles attached is very attractive to achieving high rankings. Articles that have valuable content are even more attractive and end up as a part of other social outlets creating an impactful synergy.
I, meaning Robert Wesley Jones of InSiteful Solutions, advocate using social media as a way to personally brand yourself as the expert of what you do and your company as the conduit of your user’s goals in the fields that they are interested in. That is, your content is you in the user’s eyes. It is great to promote a product, advocate a service, or even become a content delivery portal, but in the end what you want the most is attention.
That is why experts like Joe Whyte state that, “the best social media marketing tactics …fit into your online marketing campaigns would be researching (those) you need to target then cross reference that criterion against the different social sites in order to quantify for yourself and your client that you are targeting the right sites.” Okay, so what he is really saying is, make your social sites the “voice of attraction” for you money sites. Thus your message is retained and favored by your users who can reap a return on investment and bookmark your content for reference as well as possible future sales.
So by creating a niched socialized networking hub you can create a personal message (through design, content and image) and also brand awareness. Again, attention to you and your company or companies is the goal with specific engagement such as sales or market awareness.
Joe Griffin another noted Internet expert on socialized marketing states that ”… simply building profiles and linking to your site won't help. If you're interested in leveraging social media portals to improve your website's rankings, then you need to look at the strategy in a completely different light.” First and foremost, participating in the social web means (here it is again!) building brand recognition, which can be used for your personal brand, your business brand, or both. It's the brand recognition that leads to improved linking to your website - it's not the social media websites themselves that will give your website link popularity. The inbound links will come from bloggers, forum moderators and users, resource websites, and new friends and colleagues that you will meet along the way.”
Robert Wesley Jones of InSiteful Solutions will help you AND your company achieve your social networks goals, by helping you build or modify your brand and help you distribute your product and message. Contact us today!

Personal Branding as a Personal Business Web page
Brought about as a concept by Tom Peters with others in 1997, personal branding is the process whereby people and their interests, and products / services converge into a personalized branding concept.
Personal branding often involves the application of one's name to various products and services and can be personal or partner-based. At the highest level, personalized branding can be a conglomerate. An example is Tiger Woods, and what I call the “Tiger Woods principle.” As he is a golfer who pitches Buick, Nike, Gatorade, etc.
For many of us that means distributorships. These personal offerings could be Real Estate, Bookkeeping, Travel, and Mortgage.
Personal business web pages are an adaptive niche of this branding thought. This started out of the need for small business owners to advertise themselves online in a personable and professional manner whereby they could show a stake hold or interest in all their businesses, distributorships, interests, etc.
The Personal / Business Web Portal are for People Who:
1) Rep one or more distributorship
2) Own more than one business
3) Have a Significant other who reps or owns a business
4) From time to time change affiliations
What are Personal / Business Web Portals?
Personal / Business web portal are for individual users/couples who want to take advantage of a stand-alone (whereby the user owns/controls) place (web page) to send potential clients for the purposes of promoting their personal qualities. Many business web pages contain product/service information, price lists, order forms and contact information and links to distributorships, franchisors and/or business websites and other interests.
But they also include information personal information such as favorite links, interests, hobbies, friends, family, projects, community service, networking groups and so on. The possibilities are many!
Sponsoring Business or Personal web pages
Do not have their own domain name; they reside within the sponsoring website such as hometown.aol.com/~username
Do not have a personalized or vanity email included so owner’s would have to use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.
The website is not owned by the user, it is owned by the sponsor
The website is not portable (graphics-emails-verbiage, are not yours!)
Details on Personal / Business web portals:
• Web page, domain name and content (graphics-emails-verbiage) is owned by the user, not leased
• Is a cost effective tactic for small businesses and individual users
• Email can be personalized based on domain name that you own
• The web page is owned by the user all content portable (and sometimes customizable)
• Are MUCH more search engine friendly as they adhere to flat file construction
• Create a point of contact that is much more manageable by the user
• Great for creating mailing lists
• More!!!
InSiteful Solutions helps, in a grass-roots way business owner’s create and maintain a personal business web page. In this manner our clients will be able to reach a broad audience that is looking specifically for their service(s) and product(s) by providing the following:

Personal Branding For The Independent Conctractor
PERSONAL BRANDING (For Independent Contractors)
Personal Branding is one of those phrases that is rarely often used and is very misunderstood. Although the process involves several steps, the idea is really quite simple.
Branding is what Oprah Winfrey®* has you might say done well– the minute you catch sight of her “O,” you know beyond a shadow of a doubt who you’re dealing with. Images may come into your mind, from movies to magazines to lavish parties to her well-know talk show. All this may have seemed easy to see now, but it took a lot of hard work and creativity to brand that single letter!
To do what Oprah did, you’ll need to create a brand for yourself. How? Simple. Present an image and message that appeals to your target audience over and over again until your customers begin to associate that image and message with you. The great thing about Personal Branding is once you’ve begun to succeed in one area you tend to succeed in other non-related areas, think Tiger Woods or Billy Mays.
The personal branding process usually begins with the creation of a logo, iconic photo image and a tagline.
• A logo may be made up of words (your company name), an illustration and/or graphics.
• An iconic image may be staged from a key moment (Joe Plumber), great photo shoot with an already well-known person (Dr. Phil) or the classic from a position of authority, Think Doctor in his/her scrubs or Venture Capitalist in his/her powersuit
• A tagline should sum up what you offer to customers that they can’t get anywhere else.
Important! Personal Branding is extremely important for the Independent Contractor- Remember you want your clients/users to recall YOU, even over the company (ies) that you may represent!!!
Who is writing this? http://www.insitefulsolutions.net
You sell services and related products to [fill in the blank with your niche]. Who else does that? What do you offer that your competitors don’t? Can you wrapper your company around a greater mission – like buy American or Go Green! Do you have a broader selection of products? Then your tagline might be “Your place for all things (fill in your niche) here in your own neighborhood.”
Unless you’re a graphic designer, creating your own logo can be tricky – it needs to work in a variety of mediums and that kind of flexibility and takes some skill. We recommend even if you are sure to of what you desire design-wise, give a professional the chance to create with some freedom. You may be surprised with what happens. SO, regardless of whether you do it yourself or hire someone else to create your logo and tagline, be sure to run them past people who represent your target market (not your couch-potato uncle if your company caters to women runners) before putting them to use.
Once you have a logo, use it everywhere – on every page of your storefront, in newsletters, on receipts, on stationery, signage and business cards. You can even incorporate it into your Email Marketing Campaigns - even with a little HTML know-how.
If it’s short enough, your tagline can appear with your logo except in cases where the logo is too small to make the tagline readable. Your tagline should also appear on every page of your Web site. For bonus points, make your tagline clickable and link it to a page that describes your key promises and how your company delivers on them.
Over the long haul, personal branding pays off. BUT here is the key! – make it PERSONAL – surprise, if you don’t create a cause, you won’t get the desired effect! Personal branding not only increases customer loyalty, ensuring that your customers continue to buy from you for years to come, but allows you to charge more than your non-branded competitors, which in turn helps you to better service your clients and enjoy life more fully. How sweet is that???
DOs
>Test. Get feedback on your logo and tagline from people who represent your target market.
>Follow up. Your long-term success depends on how well you deliver on your promises.
>Stick with it. Coca-Cola’s been doing it for decades; that’s why their brand is so powerful.
DON’Ts
>Alter the individual elements of a logo once it’s been created and approved. You want the viewer to take one look at that logo and think of you, so don’t confuse them. Use it consistently.
